HELP

1. What formats are the files available in?
The files are available the following formats

2. What about the preview tracks?
They are full-length and encoded up to a maximum of 64kbps. We made the decision to leave them as full-length as we felt that a shorter preview (e.g. 30 seconds) as is common on other digital download stores was insufficient for our potential customers to fully appreciate the track on offer and come to a purchasing decision. We believe that this decision was a sensible, intelligent one and that our site will not be abused and used as a free radio player!

3. Do the tracks contain Digital Rights Management (DRM)?
No. They are totally DRM-free and can be played on any device that supports high-quality MP3 or WAV playback.

4. Can I choose which format I want the tracks in?
You pay one price and then its up to you which format you want it in: MP3 or WAV format except for a small minority of tracks where the artist has specifically prohibited the WAV from being released.

5. How much do you charge for your music?
A track is 78p, Singles are £1.50, EPs are £2.99 and an Album is £6.25. Occasionally we'll provide tracks as original pre-mastered higher-quality 48Khz WAV files. For these releases, the prices will be slightly higher: A track is 99p, Singles are £1.99, EPs are £3.50 and an Album is £6.99.

6. What payment methods do you accept?

7. What happens after I've paid?
If your payment via Paypal / Google Checkout is successful then you should be able to download the tracks immediately from the 'My Account' area. If there was an issue encountered during processing it may take up to a day to be approved. Normally you'll also get a confirmation e-mail from us telling you that your tracks are available, however we advise that you occasionally login to check your orders to be certain as to their status given that email is a medium of communication which doesn't guarantee delivery of messages and may be rejected by SPAM filters.

8. How long do I have to download the tracks after purchase?
We restrict downloads to 7 days from the time an order is created. This gives customers adequate time to download their tracks and help keep our costs low by lowering our long-term bandwidth usage charges. We actively monitor information such as the number of downloads of each track per user in order to prevent abuse and sharing of accounts.

9. ...and what if I forget to download after 7 days, can I still get my tracks?
In that case, you have to get in touch with us via the contact form and we'll see what we can do!

10. When I go to download my tracks, can't I download everything in one go as a zip file?
In our experience, we have found it can be problematic for many users to download very large zip files especially if you are trying to download hi-quality WAV's. We feel that this approach will reliably ensure that you can get all of the tracks you have purchased in a reasonable time-frame.

11. Why are some releases not available as individual tracks?
We feel that certain releases are best enjoyed as a whole, not as individual tracks. You are welcome to download the tracks individually, but will have to pay for the full release.

12. Where can I send demos to?
Rephlex, PO Box 86, Redruth, TR15 9AL, UK.

13. There are only some Rephlex releases available, when will everything else be up?
We're working hard to get as much of our back-catalogue up on the site as soon as possible, grow more hands and make more hours in the day - so stay tuned!

14. Is Rephlex stuff available anywhere else digitally?
The vast majority of Rephlex releases have not been officially / legally available to download until now. We aim to be independent, exclusive and good! You can support the artists / releases / label, if you can / want to, by purchasing a new / original edition.

15. What are the browser requirements to view the site?
As you can see the site is incredibly basic so it should work on the vast majority of browsers. You'll need Flash installed to use the preview player. The site has been tested on a number of platforms in a various browsers but if you do experience problems please alert us with a description of your issues via the contact form remembering to state your operating system and which browser and the versions you are using, e.g. Windows XP, Firefox 3.5...

16. Are the BPM's accurate?
No. They are intitial approximations submitted by pro DJ software and 3rd parties. Some are half (or double) their perceived speed. Some are correct, others are wrong but we are working on this and we hope you’ll agree it will be decent when it’s sorted out. Feel free to contact us and submit your own results!

17. I'm having problems logging back into the site

Please make sure that you quote your Order ID if making any reference to a placed order. If you have any queries about the label then please contact us at Rephlex, PO Box 86, Redruth, TR15 9AL, UK.

21. I've found a problem / bug or I have a comment / complaint
The site is still 'Under Construction' so we're still working on things. With your help and feedback we can continue to improve the site. So please contact us via the form and give us your feedback. If you have a bug or problem with the site, be as descriptive as possible and also tell us what browser / operating system you were using. Thank you.

22. Why are there often fewer tracks on the Artists page than are present in the releases?
Not all artists wish to have all tracks from all of their releases available for sale so the number of tracks shown here is the number of tracks that are available for sale individually.

23. PayPal shows that payment was successful but I can't get to download my tracks because the order status is not shown as PAID yet.
We are aware that there are some issues for a small minority of PayPal users but we monitor every order that comes in and reconcile payments with PayPal at regular intervals during the day to make sure that users who have paid can download their orders. In these situations we advise that users login later to check their order status. If more than a day passes and you are still unable to download your order then please contact us via the contact form.

24. My order is marked as FAILED.
If there is an error processing your order, login to your Google or PayPal account to check that the order is not in your list of transactions. If it is, and a transfer of funds took place to us, please contact us to verify it and enable your download.

If the order isn't in your list of transactions it never got processed by Google / PayPal. You can click 'Add To Cart' and attempt to place it again.
